COLLEGE STATION, Nov. 7, 2023 — LAUNCH: Undergraduate Research (UGR) will be hosting a “Getting Started in Research” workshop on Friday, Nov. 10 from 2-3:30 p.m. in room 103 in Henderson Hall.
A panel-style discussion, the event is designed to help undergraduate students looking to get involved in research at Texas A&M University.
Led by LAUNCH UGR Ambassadors — experienced undergraduate students who represent undergraduate research interests at Texas A&M — the talk will feature first-hand experiences and testimonials of the positive impact the research process can have on undergraduate students’ academic careers.
In addition to hearing from ambassadors, students can network and connect with research advisors and learn about program expectations, resources available to student researchers and strategies on how to be successful in research.
Students can register for the workshop here. Registration closes Thursday, Nov. 9 at 8 a.m. Space is limited. All undergraduate students are welcome to attend.
The event is eligible for 150 MaroonBase points on the MaroonBase app. Students can check into the event on the app to show their attendance and gain points. Instructions on how to join MaroonBase can be found here.
