Programs and services offered by Undergraduate Studies will continue in a combination of online and in-person formats throughout the Fall 2021 semester. Each unit has made different changes to the way they operate and you can find that information in the tables below. Some units have created a web page dedicated to COVID-19 updates, but not all of them. Because information may change, we encourage you to follow each unit's website and social media channels.

Program/Service/Location Description of Change
Abroad Programs Due to the rapidly changing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision to allow travel is subject to change and currently approved programs may be canceled at a later date. We recommend that faculty and students refrain from making financial commitments until absolutely necessary.
Passports and photo operations Passport Services and photo operations are open. To get or renew your passport, you must have an appointment before coming in. If needing only a passport photo, walk-ins are welcome Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the Passport Services website.
Education Abroad Advising Walk-in advising will resume in the fall. Students can also make a scheduled appointment for one-on-one virtual advising. For more information, visit the Meet with an Advisor webpage.
Pre-Departure Orientation All pre-departure orientations will be offered virtually via online learning modules as part of the application process.

Program/Service/Location Description of Change
Fall 2021 Advising Transition Academic Programs (TAP) advising is primarily provided in-person in Hotard Hall. However, students who are unable to physically come to Hotard Hall due to medical, health, or safety issues may request a virtual appointment via Zoom (when scheduling an appointment in Navigate). TAP advisors are usually available by appointment, but switch to drop-in advising during periods of high demand so that more students may be assisted. Check the TAP website for current advisor availability and advising type.

Please observe and comply with all signs posted in Hotard Hall pertaining to health and safety—in the entry, elevator, hallways, and waiting areas.  These signs are subject to change without notice depending upon current conditions and policies.  Seating and overall occupancy in our lobby may become limited during periods of social distancing.

Fall 2021 & Spring 2022 Interns Washington, D.C. programming will continue as planned with most students interning in-person and some interning remotely. International programs have been placed on hold until Summer 2022, pending updates from hosting offices and hosting countries. Austin, Texas programming is only held during the regular legislative session and is, therefore, not available for the 2021-2022 academic year.
PPIP Coursework  Program coursework has always been and will continue to be delivered online.
PPIP office in AGLS 515 Open to the public; however, appointments are preferred. These may be scheduled via phone or email.
